1954 Corvette dreaming

Among Corvette collector's the 1953 model is something like the Holy Grail, as it was the first year and only some 300 were produced. Your editor is not really interested however. For the simple reason he was born in 1954, so he's only interested in the 1954 model. Presented here is a very much unrestored and battered example we stumbled upon during our Hershey visit. It was sold on the spot with a price tag of $ 30,000. As your editor wasn't the buyer he will have to stick with the dream until a next '54 will pop-up. What are our chances do you think?
