In 2009, the owner commissioned Altena Classic Service for a comprehensive restoration, overhaul, and rally preparation of the 240Z. Everything was overhauled and/or renewed. The car was optimized in detail for historic rally driving with a raised suspension, a special wiring harness, Koni shock absorbers and springs all around, a 5-speed gearbox, a large aluminum fuel tank, a professional roll bar, Recaro seats, 4-point Sparco seat belts, auxiliary headlights and cornering lights at the front, and other special rally accessories.
