When the Jaguar XJ-S was unveiled in 1975, it marked a new era for grand touring at Coventry. Taking over from the legendary E-Type, the XJ-S (later XJS) combined performance and refinement in equal measure, pairing Jaguar’s superb 5.3 litre V12 with long-legged comfort and graceful, understated styling by Malcolm Sayer and Doug Thorpe. Over its long production life, the model evolved continuously, gaining improved suspension geometry, electronic ignition, and ever more luxurious appointments, securing its place as one of Britain’s finest GTs of the late twentieth century.

First registered on 17th November 1988, this striking XJ-S V12 is finished in classic Signal Red with a beautifully preserved cream leather interior complemented by walnut veneer facia and door capping. Sitting on its original lattice alloy wheels, it presents as a wonderfully authentic, unspoiled example of the breed. The specification is suitably generous, including cruise control, air conditioning, heated seats, and trip computer, with everything reported to function exactly as intended.

Having covered only 21,880 miles from new and benefiting from three owners, this Jaguar has clearly been cherished.
