Ascari's 1952 Ferrari 500?

We picked up this snapshot from a stand at RetroClassics in Stuttgart earlier this year. We have as little infomation as you have.  Car # 101 has a large fillercap postioned central atop the deep pointed tail. The wheels have the appearance of Borrani's but we may be wrong. The steering wheel looks to be a three spoke version. On the side of the hood we see a horizontal air intake? Somewhat lower on the side we see darker sections as if they are louvres. A bit higher near the driver's left hand we see a decal:  SF? The nose is very low. Are we looking at the Ferrari driven by Ascari to victory in the 1952 german GP? Highly probable. The best match we found if sister car Nr. # 102 with Giuseppe Farina at the wheel. Until,we found this shot of Ascari in # 101 at TalkModelToys.com (photo collection editor)
