Laura Morrison is a girl to our heart. She is currently taking her 1958 Morris Minor for a road trip, but it’s not quite your average road trip. She is driving it from Aberdeen (Scotland) to Cape Town (South Africa). The 35-year old from New Zealand is doing so in memory of her father Neil Morrison, a Scotsman born in Aberdeen who died from cancer in 2016. The Minor used to be her dad’s car and was passed on to her after his death. Laura asks people to donate for the trip to raise funds for the Cancer Society Research Division.
Morrison tackles the 15,000+ kilometres drive through the United Kingdom, France and Spain, where she crossed the sea from Valencia to Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi, cross over the continent through Zambia, Botswana, over to the west coast in Namibia, and then down the west coast into Cape Tow. She is in mid-Africa at the time.
Money can be donated through Laura’s certified Cancer Society page which you can access here. Good luck to you Laura, you are our Friday Lady for today!
