Big Boys at Beaulieu

Only a few weeks to go before we’re allowed to rush off  to Beaulieu. In the weekend from 7 and 8 September the National Motor Museum in the beautiful New Forest in the South of England will for the umpteenth time be hosting the annual Beaulieu Autojumble. Again it looks like there will be more stalls than ever, and also the Automart has many entries. All quite exciting if you are looking to buy something, but just browsing is also great fun. Apart from looking at the cars for sale, we suggest to take a look at what some of the autojumblers use to bring their stuff to Beaulieu. The past few years we noticed the big 1966 Austin pictured above, but also a 1950 Morris Commercial and even a pre-war Austin. Yet our favorite is D.H. Day’s Mercedes 608, proudly proving that old trucks never die. But whatever your interest, be it big trucks or small stuff, don’t miss Beaulieu! And while you’re on your way to the toilets in the Yellow field drop in at the PreWarCar/PostWarClassic stand to say hello.
