Bonhams MPH still open for business

Press Release

21 MARCH AUCTION TO GO AHEAD AS PLANNED

The Bonhams MPH Sale this Saturday (21 March) will go ahead as planned, with a live ‘drive through’ auction offering a catalogue of modern and popular classic and collectors’ motor cars. The sale will start at 1.30pm, with enhanced online and remote bidding opportunities for buyers.

In light of the current situation and in accordance with government advice, the company is taking extra health and safety precautions on site:

There will be extra spacing between the cars on view and reduced density in the sale room.
Special attention will be paid to cleaning and sanitising all ‘touch points’ including car door handles and paperwork.
Extra hand washing facilities and sanitiser stations will be available.

All Bonhams MPH staff are being issued with clear guidelines in accordance with NHS advice, and the company is adopting a 'no handshakes' policy.

For those clients who would prefer not to attend in person, Bonhams MPH is making provisions for remote bidding, either online via the Bonhams MPH online bidding platform, invaluable.com or the-saleroom.com, or by telephone, with extra telephone clerks on site.

Clients who are feeling unwell are being asked to refrain from attending the sale and to use the remote bidding options.

The auction will be streamed live online at www.bonhams.com/26109 from 1.30pm on Saturday.
In addition, all lots now have a live 'walk around' video available to view here: www.bonhams.com/26109. Condition reports are also available free of charge for registered bidders.

Bidders can register here: https://www.bonhams.com/how_to_buy/ or call the Bonhams Bids Office on +44 7447 7448.

Rob Hubbard, Head of Bonhams MPH, said: “We would like to reassure our clients that we are constantly monitoring the situation and heeding advice from the government. We remain committed to the safety and well-being of all our clients and staff".
