Mike Wheadon sends us this photograph that will be of interest both to pre-war and early post-war car people. This photograph was taken at 14.15hrs on 07 October 1959 and is the car park at the GEC Research Laboratories, Warren Lane, Stanmore. Middlesex, in support of a planning application to extend the Car Park (Click main pic for larger version!). In the row nearest the camera two pairs of cars seem, almost , to be leaning against each other for support!! I wonder how many of the pre-war cars were lost to the MOT Test that was to be introduced in the following year? Can anybody claim to have any of these actual cars in their posession today?
