XK 140 Mille Miglia; celebrations are in order

One more last scene from Interclassics-Topmobiel, that is to say… some historical photos. One of the cars at the recent show in Maastricht was a wonderful Jaguar XK 140 OTS Works Mille Miglia. The Jag is part of  ‘The Houtkamp Collection’ and they were kind enough to send some photos from the time the Jaguar took part in the 1956 Mille Miglia. Above is the congratulations telegram from Coventry; here a photo taken at a control along the route; filling up with gas from Agip; crossing the railway track at full speed and last but not least a picture of a bit of trouble on the way.
