Clouds over the Eifel

Ominous clouds threatened the circuit with rain during the 2010 Eifelrennen held last weekend at the Nürburgring. And indeed they opened up frequently. However, this didn’t stop the participants from having a great time taking part in the various races with some very close racing on the track and quick actions as seen here in the pits. The main photo shows the 1953 Renault R4 from Christian and Arnold Pilz, while here’s a shot of Charly Willems at the Nordschleife in his 1948 H.W. Alta streamliner.
