The Daytona is many people’s favourite Ferrari, but don’t think it is super rare. Some 1.400 were made, but if you want one tomorrow, you can have it. They are for sale everywhere. Just have a look in the next few auctions coming up and you’ll find them. We picked out six of them in different flavours.
The Porsche 914 was manufactured by VW and Porsche with the original idea to sell them as a VW with 4-cyl engine and as a Porsche with the 6-cyl. Half-way the developments, this plan was ditched and the car was sold as a Porsche after all, but could be bought and maintained at VW dealers also. No wonder snobby Porsche types didn’t like that.
Don’t cheat. We’ve only shopped out the badges on the main picture, but the ones below will give it all away. It’s looking rather Italian, isn’t it? Alfa-esque? An ASA or OSCA perhaps? Well, it’s a BMW 1600 with convertible body by Ghia of Turin, so that does explain the Italian looks.
We see an archetypical Friday Lady with a classic car and on a location where there’s plenty of snow to be found. All we can say is that it is another classic winter holiday resort in Europe. But which one?
