A car that caught our eye earlier this week in our marketplace is this 1955 Dellow Trials car that was titled by dealer Gavin McGuire as 'a trial car which is in a very good condition and is also very rapid'. Especially the last couple of words made us interested in the car.

We found a message from Feb. 1965, that Lebanese princess Mona Al-Solh just became the owner of a ‘Rolls-Cadillac’- the only car of its kind in the world. We have two pictures showing a real monstrosity of a car with Rolls-Royce front mated to an American car. Who knows what that body is?

Norwegian business tycoon Björn Lyng was once given a Rolls-Royce Corniche by his friends to celebrate his 60th birthday. These things happen in these scenes. But Lyng'ss Rolls-Royce was certainly not the only golden carriage. The bodies of three DeLorean DMC 12s had been gold plated before for three chosen holders of an American Express Gold Card.

In Russia and Poland the 12th of April is a commemorative day called Cosmonautics Day, the night is known as Yuri’s Night; dedicated to Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, who made the first manned space flight on April 12th 1961. He was given a Matra-Bonnet Djet sports car some years later.
