A leather Arai helmet Mystery

Recently found at a local fair by Jon Terleth, this early postwar helmet. Reading about Arai we understand they started making motorcycle helmets not long after the war. The production making use of resin started not earlier than 1950. Our theory is that this pristine example must be from the beginning (check the inside badge). We cannot find any reference to this leather helmet with fiber inner hull. Can you point us in the right direction?
