Tough to crack: Puzzle #34

Last week we promised you a slightly more simple quiz for a change. So here you go. It's still a tough challenge, yet this car is slightly better known than last week's oddball. It is not a one-off  and there is some racing history connected with this type of car. To give you an extra hint. It is not made nor conceived in Italy. The designer is a well known man in the racing world and an expert in car handling.
