Another week, another Friday Lady and another Name that Place winter edition puzzle. Last week’s nut (this one) proved a little harder to crack but eventually you found out that this photo was taken in 1959 in the Czech skiing resort of Pustevny (well done Jiri Lukes). The image was in fact used as a New Year’s greeting card for 1960 by the manufacturer of Tatra cars itself.
The hotel used as a backdrop is the Tanečnica, which is as much in use as it was back in 1959. If you feel for a skiing holiday and think the Tanečnica is the place to go, then click here and make a booking. Do bring over your Tatra 603 and a copy of the old picture as we're sure they'll like it over there!
Over to this week’s snowy indulgence. We really don’t believe this is an easy one as we do not have a single clue ourselves other then that it was used in 1955 and probably photographed in 1954. The lady's Porsche and its number plate may hint to its location, but we are not even sure about that. The hotel should be a good giveaway, though.
Do you recognize it..?
