Reported by Joop Terpstra: Popular race car in the late 50's and early 60's. It's called a Hirondelle Type 1. A one-off built by Henk van Zalinge and Rob Slotemaker. In the back there is a D.K.W. three cylinder twostroke engine of a 1000cc with some 75 HP. Speeds up to 175 kmh. Body was mainly glassfibre. I think they built maybe 3 or 4 of these racecars. This one stands somewhere in a shed just outside Eindhoven-Holland and has to be completely restored, but a very interesting car!
