Nobody in his right mind would call an MGA a roomy vehicle. Nope, it's strictly fun for two. But what to do if you have lots of girlfriends? You can't take 'm all for a ride, can you? Well, that's where the company of John Gibson & Son Ltd. comes to the rescue. They marketed a conversion to equip the MGA with a true dickey seat. It did need some work to the body, as normally the spare wheel takes up most of the boot and -through a hole in a bulkhead- some of the interior space as well. That hole needed to be enlarged to make room for the girls' feet and the spare wheel relocated to the boot lid. Still, we think you'll need to find girlfriends with no worries about their hair-do (click main pic!). Or perhaps a mother-in-law with very short legs.

Update by editor Rutger Booy: There was a suggestioin that this image was photshopped because the the weight of the two girls in the back would cause the front to raise. Now we did some photoshopping ourselves and it appears that the gap between the front wheels and the front fender is just a bit more than at the rear (although it is difficult to see). In our opinion they are very skinny girls :-)
