It’s Easter. And that, in some cases, means breakfast in bed while the children go on the hunt for eggs. You can watch them in your bathrobe if you want, like this lady. Now, speaking about Easter: there aren’t too many egg shaped cars but one that immediately springs to mind is the great Fiat 600 Multipla, especially when it comes in a colour scheme like this. But actually this motorised egg was one of Fiat’s cleverest packages of all time. It could seat six while being just 50 centimetres longer than Issigonis’ Mini. This because driver and front passengers were seated in front of the front axle, while the 22bhp engine placed at the rear gave it a totally flat floor. Good for stowing space or to fit an extra rear seat and take the wife and kids at 55mph top speed to family, friends or fun park. It’s a good thing crash tests weren’t in vogue at the time, although it can be hard to crack an egg. Happy Easter!
