This would have been a fabulous 'tough to crack' quiz car. However a colleague website used a sister model of this car already. That aside the picture is shown in issue number 6 of the spanish classic car glossy Autódromo. The exact dating of the photo is unclear, however Georgano mentions the car as being produced in 1951-52. With an aircooled two stroke 2-cylinder 538 cc. In most other respects the resemblance with the 2CV prototypes is quite remarkable. The Dagsa came out in 1956 but after 50 units production stopped.
There's more intriguing stuff in Autodrómo. Like the story about the manager of the Hispano Suiza foundry, and his strange inventions, including a jet engine in the 1910s! And the De Tomaso Vallelungas imported into Spain, where some of those - probably to avoid sky-high taxes - were converted with a Simca engine in stead of the thirsty american V8. Finally we like to mention the first Premio Peña Rhin Sport, held in 1954. Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar and Pegaso were some of the entrants, including foreign drivers.
