It's showtime!

If classic cars are your thing then today is your day. If you’re in the UK, that is, as the amount of events organized today mixing classic cars with tracks, stately homes, castles and other venues is truly spectacular. All the well-know venues have been booked for months, from Silverstone to Gaydon, and from Prescott to Duxford plus many, many more smaller estates, circuits or simply parking lots. There are classic car shows in places like Lytham St Annes, Whitstable , Mount Edgcumbe, Flitwick, Ashlyns Hall and Stafford Castle - all names that wouldn’t seem strange in a Midsomer Murders episode, to name just a few. There’s the Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend, organized by the local Rotary Club, the Invicta Run starting at MacNades farm shop Faversham, Kent and the Cromford Steam Rally, while Jaguar Drivers have their National Day. Some events are tiny, others are huge, from the Helmingham Festival of Classics and Sports Cars with over 500 classic cars expected and the massive Ford Fair at Silverstone with 3,500 plus Fords bound to come over.
