Jolly good fun at the beach

These days Monaco must be bursting at the seams with antique and classic cars. No less than three auction companies have their sales this weekend, one of them being Bonhams, who brought a whole fleet of beauties to Monte Carlo. One that caught our fancy and certainly feels at home on the Riviera is this 1970 Fiat 500. It’s a replica of the humble Fiat 500 and 600 saloons that were converted by Ghia into a ‘beach car’. Its wicker seats are just comfortable enough to transport you from your yacht to the beach club. Find it this afternoon at Bonhams “Les Grandes Marques a Monaco”.
