Jungle Jaguars (update: snake meeting; grest story added!

It’s only a few years ago that these pictures were taken in the British Midlands - home to Jaguar cars. These big cats must have lain there for a while, and what a cool trio they were, the all-blacks. But when we drove past the same spot a year ago they were gone. The Mk7 with its roof collapsed, making it look like a cool top chop; the overgrown Mk2 with most of its lavish interior still intact; the rotten Mk10 with all of its windows open (we advise you to close these if you are ever to leave your Jag out in a field for longer then a decade or so). What happened to them? We have no idea, but fear they may have been recycled into waste bins, beer cans or - even more frightful - British built Hondas or Nissans. Fact is that many more UK roadside relics have gone forlorn over the last few years. Some manage to escape the cleanup urge of developers, and find their way to enthusiasts. But to be really honest I believe I prefer them in their jungle look. Plenty of restored Mk2’s, Mk7’s and Mk10’s, aren’t there?
