Carrick Watson sends these images of an Allard he used to know, and has worked on. "The picture above shows the Allard on a trailer and my son Derrick standing beside it. He gave me a hand to collect the car from a narrow garage where it had been lying for a very long time, we had to winch it out as everything was seized up. It belonged at that time to Bob Thompson from Hamilton, who had an Artist's Gallery for many years and was very well-known in the local Motoring fraternity. When Bob died, the Allard lay in his garage for a long time unused. Its new buyer asked that it be collected and got back into running order. The other image shows the car in earlier, better days competing in the Bo'ness speed hill climb in east Scotland. This image comes from the Bert Niven Garage and this would be with the Lanarkshire Motor Cycle & Car Club. I recognized it again and would like to know if the car still exists? Its registration number is GYS 513."
