Yesterday we showed you a visit to the Peachland auto show in British Columbia. Not far from there, in the little town of Summerland is a very interesting auto museum. They have quite a collection. Several halls are tightly packed with automobiles, many of them dating from 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, although we also spotted a 1936 Ford. All cars are of American/Canadian manufacture which means that many of them have seldom been in seen in Europe. Jim Kyluik, the manager took us on a tour of the museum. Most interesting, in our opinion, were the workshops, where work was in progress on a 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible. The museum does their own restoration work, and it sure looks like they are doing a good job. And they will not be finished soon, as there is still a whole row of cars waiting for their turn. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, we sure recommend a visit!
