Mustang in Miniature

Amazing how one story leads to another. When we published the article on Carrol Shelby’s Cobras earlier this week, we were immediately reminded of the Mustang we drove when we were 14, perhaps 15 years old. No, not the real thing of course, but being huge fans of slot car racing we built ourselves our own scaled-down version of the Pony Car and dressed it up as best as we could. Not only from the outside (body by Airfix ?), but it also sported a special chassis and a souped-up Mabucchi engine. It was a real go’er on the track.
