New life for old vans

The photo shows a very nice collection of cars belonging to Mike Tebbett. But what interests us here is the 2CV Van on the left. Mike writes: “I simply would not be without a 2CV or two about the place... ! But I have a confession to make... the van is in fact a fibreglass replica, made by a chap in the UK (only the English would be daft enough to do this!). My old 'Dolly' had really bad corrosion in the rear end, floors, arches, doors, etc., but the front end was superb and on a galvanized chassis. So I had the conversion done. The rear half of the body was removed after the 'B' posts and the fibreglass van, which is one moulding, dropped on. The result is a rust free very useable vehicle ideal for carrying vintage bits about the place! Causes a lot of amusement as well.”
Thanks for the tip, Mike, the 2CV looks very nice. We found out that the firm that makes these kits is called 'Villevans'. You suggest you give ‘m a try if you’ve got an old 2CV lying around the place.
