Inspired by the world animal day feature about the unrestored Topolino, Stuart Penketh came up with this recent Bangkok restoration. "This is my friend Somchai, he kick started me to recommissioning my Rover P4 100, which won a prize at one of our motoring events in Bangkok recently. At that same event Somchai brought his "Pet Mouse" along to keep him company. The car was very complete. It is after all a simple car. He entrusted a local garage to doing the engine and major bodywork repairs. Painting they sent out to another specialist. Rubbers and seals were really the only things he had to source. Chromework was sent out locally, using the original parts to preserve the originality. Headlamp glasses were obtained via ebay. Local upholsterers worked on the interior/ seating and opening soft-top. Overall the project only took about six months.
