A Monday morning in Paris

For those who admire French automobiles of the 1960s this must be a feast for the eyes. This snapshot was taken by the father of editor Rutger Booy, while on a visit to Paris. Although his father didn't like cars, he must have been  impressed by the enormous traffic on the Parisian Boulevards. Apart from the usual Citroëns, Renaults and Peugeots there are - in the middle of the photo - two Simca Vedettes, a Standard and a DeLuxe version, both models we haven't seen around for many, many years.

editor: wish I could sit on that spot in that era just for a few minutes to see what would come by.... It was in 1958 when  the contruction of the 'Boulevard Periferique' (the Paris ringroad) started. Based on the remains of old citywalls.
