If you grew up in the US in 1950s or 1960s, you were sure to get excited when you heard the bells of the Good Humor Ice Cream truck. Did you ever notice that the ice truck has no door on the left side? This was to prevent accidents, so the Good Humor Ice Cream Man had to exit on the sidewalk side. Both truck and the Good Humor Ice Cream Man have become a piece of American history as the company stopped selling from trucks in 1976 and their ice cream became available from grocery stores only. We saw this 1969 model at Auctions of America who will offer it during the Auburn Fall auction to be held from September 1-4, 2011. Wouldn’t this be great chance to finally get the icecream you missed back then?
Update: sold at auction for $37,950
