The year is not yet over, but there’s only a couple of days left, and we’ll traditionally fill those with our Christmas puzzle here. So why not yet take a look back at 2017? With the best-read articles of the past year.
One thing that struck us when we looked for the stories you seemingly appreciated most: all of them have the ‘2017’ word in the heading. A coincidence? Perhaps.
1. You seem to like the Mille Miglia and its cars. The 2017 storica edition was good for some exotic machinery, and we had a look at those here prior to the start of the race in May. It was the best-read article of last year. Click here to read it back.
2. It cannot be a coincidence. Our second most popular story was about the same race and posted only a day later. It was about the ladies teams, and that picture of a lovely lady in an equally lovely little red roadster may have helped? Read it here.
3. In January, we asked ourselves (and you!): Do restorations still pay in 2017? We weren’t too sure ourselves after having compared the one car with the other. Take these two Healey Hundreds for example… Full story to be read here.
4. It was March and Mother’s Day was nearly there. Don’t forget your good old mother, we advised, and you wanted to know more about that, or so it seemed. We wrote about some of the more feminine cars that were made. Click here for the full story.
5. Ferraris, Ferraris and Ferraris. We have a love-hate affair with them but there’s no way to ignore them in the universe of classic cars. We do not know what you think of them, but you appreciated our January story about the never ending stream of them. Read it here.
Now, back to your Christmas festivities! Don’t forget our Christmas puzzle starting from tomorrow right here and all the best for the end of the year.
