The Coronet: an endangered species?

Although a small one, this is a real automobile. The Coronet was one of those many mini-cars that appeared on the market after the 1956 Suez fuel crisis. But it must be said that the Coronet is one of the better-looking microcars and certainly not as spartan as others. Only 250 or so have been from 1957 until 1960 by Coronet Cars Ltd. In Denham, Buckinghamshire, and it is thought that no more than seven remain. This 1958 example will be auctioned by Coys on October 13 during their 'Spirit of Motoring' auction at Ascot. Help save an endangered species!
