Frequent contributor Michael Ware wrote a very interesting review about a new book on post-war flat-twin Panhard automobiles (see Read More for his story). The 610cc air-cooled engined Dyna Panhard was first shown at the Paris Salon in October 1946 and what puzzles us is that no-one, including the author of the book and the reviewer seem to know why these cars are named Dyna. One suggestion could be that the name harks back to the pre-war car built by Panhard, called the Dynamic, which though looking great was not a success. The name however seemed suitable at the time. Is there a Panhard adept among us who knows more? If so, please enlighten us!
