The search for the ultimate Easter classic car
Earlier our editorial team was talking about Easter, the weekend, and how everyone was planning to spend their time. Of course, within a few seconds old cars became the main topic. As the weather is great in this part of the world, we all want to take the convertible out and have fun. And as it is Easter, we will spend our time with family and collect Easter eggs. We were asking ourselves what the best car is that is for sale in our online marketplace. Of course, this is very difficult to say and absolutely personal, but we want to do some suggestions.
We scrolled through our pages and had 4 criteria, about what the car should be. Please correct us if you think differently.
The criteria are: the colour needs to be yellow, it definitely has to be a convertible, the car needs to be suitable to transport eggs (and family), and the car (or make) has to do something with resurrection
Criteria 1: The Colour of Easter:
The first criteria is the colour. The first colour that comes to our mind is yellow. So we checked the yellow listed cars of the last few months and found the following cars:
Criteria 2: Convertible:
When the sun shines, you want to work on your tan. You want to feel the breeze and hear the engine. So it definitely needs to be a convertible. In our list, there are also 4 cars with a targa top and we added them also to the list, so there are still 12 left to choose from
Criteria 3: Transport of family and eggs:
So, we are now driving our yellow convertible to our Easter lunch. Enjoying the sun but as Easter is a time to spend with family, we are taking them and our Eastern eggs in the car. Yes, we painted the eggs yellow as well!
The car needs to have 4 seats (luckily, we still have small kids) and a boot to take a few things. The number of good cars have decreased now to only 3 cars:
Criteria 4: Resurrection
The origin of Easter is of course resurrection. As we won't discuss anything with religion or similar at this website, we just look at cars. Which one of the 3 cars left has been gone and lived again later on. As we all know, the Porsche might be the one but the 911 has never left. It is still in production. There is however a new Beetle.
And besides that, going through the first list of yellow cars, looking at the space and as it is a lovely convertible; our preference this weekend goes to the beautiful 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. The car is definitely not the cheapest we have seen, but when you are driving with your family in the sun, it is definitely worth every cent!
So we have the ultimate Easter car, but what if you don't like Easter at all: you can choose for this historic
NASCAR Oldsmobile. Doesn't fit in any criteria above, but it definitely looks awesome!
