Bas de Voogd came up with a photo like a Rembrandt depicting the Healey 100 he found in 1976: "In my youth this Healey was always driving through the village. Later I realised I wanted this car and managed to find it back in a nearby barn. See also the Peugeot 404 dealer service car that came in handy. I worked for a local dealer back then. The Healey was sold new to Ruys & Co the ship people from Rotterdam, colour black. Although it looked allright on the outside it needed a full rebuild which was not easy in a time when Healey 100 parts were not available. Most of the replacement parts were NOS sourced at Beaulieu Autojumbles. The project had to wait a few years, but in 1984 the car was ready. It drove like a new Healey when finished and 160 km/hour was no problem and reached in a jiffy. Wonderfull semi-automatic overdrive working together with the 3 speed gearbox." Here is a shot of the car when ready.
