Tough to Crack: car puzzle #78

An ultra rare six door station waiting for better times - if ever - in a south european scrapyard. It may have british looks but be careful, it isn't british at all! This is real oddball of the mid fifities built in small numbers, probaly less than 500. As you can see it is a left hand drive; check the battered interior. The lack of rearbumper is looks quite modern. When did the integrated bumpers painted in the colour of the car came really 'en vogue', the eighties-nineties? However, originally it had a chrome bumper there of course. We don't want to tell you a lot more in order not to make this 'tough to crack' an 'easy to chew'.

In order to compete for the PostWarClassic T-shirt please post your answer in the comments section before Monday, March 3. Make, type, year and other relevant details.
