What’s your favourite Lancia?

There’s no doubt that we have a soft spot for Lancias, here at PostWarClassic. Still, it’s not easy to pin one model as a favourite. In order to see a grand overview of Lancia models we may perhaps suggest you to come over to the InterClassics show in Maastricht, The Netherlands, coming weekend. The organizers have decided to ‘bring an ode to ‘La Grandezza della Lancia’. In other words: they will come up with a display showing lots of Lancias.

They’ve teamed up with two clubs to do so, and promise 25 Lancias to star in the show. Some of them are exiting models. How about the only surviving D23, a car that came second in the 1953 Monza GP?

We can only guess what the others are but hope to see some Flaminias, Fulvias, Aprillias and Aurelias in their more exotic (or coachbuilt) guises. We do like clean examples of later models also. How about the Beta HPE (which we used as a daily driver for some time before falling apart) and the Beta Montecarlo (like this one), which will always remind us of that fabulous love scene with a well-known VW Beetle…

The InterClassics show takes place from 10 to 13 January. More here. Oh, and when you are there, do visit us and say hello!
